Cole Park Golf Course first opened for play in 1947. Larry Packard redesigned the course in 1970.
Cole Park Golf Course features several dramatic changes in elevation during the first eleven holes, then reverts back to flat terrain on the final seven holes. This course covers an area over 350 acres of prime real estate, so everything is large, including the pine trees.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6812 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5296 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 555 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 362 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Cole Park Golf Course is # 17, a 140 yard par-3.
A valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance are needed to enter the base facility.

I just played the back 9, but the greens were in excellent shape considering it was April 1st. Fairways were in pretty good shape, too. Overall it was a good opening round to start out the year.
